Dear hostfamily
My full name is xxx, but everybody calls me xxx. I�m 16 years old and my birthday is on the xxx of May. I live with my mother xxx (52 years old) and our dog xxx in Freiburg. Freiburg has a population of 195.000 and is located in the southwest of Germany. Maybe you know the Black Forest?
My mother is a xxx and works mainly with children. My father xxx (50 years old) lives in xxx, which is in the southwest of Germany, too. There he has a Computerfirm. Since I�m 4 years old my parents are divorced. But we are in contact, see each other and spend holidays together.
I have two older brothers. We have a very good relationship. Well, when we were younger we had some arguments, but I think that's normal between sibilings. Now we are older and more sensible =)
The oldest of us is xxx. He is 25 years old and lives inxxx, that�s in the middle of Germany. There he studys sociology and ethnology. Sometimes he visits us at the weekend. The other one is 21 years old and his name is xxx. He lives in xxx too, but he has his own flat with a friend together. xxx studys law at the university here. He comes every Tuesday and goes for a walk with the dog and at the weekend he stays with us because my mother is cooking for us. Then there is our dog xxx. He is 7 years old and a golden retriever. We have a cat too, but he�s a wildcat and lives outside. I really like animals and can imagine to work with them.
I go to xxx, which isn�t too far away from my home and so I go to school by bike. After my summer holidays I�ll come in class 11. My favourite subjects are math, sport and art. Mostly I like it to go to school, because there are all my friends. We can have a lot of fun and I like it to laugh.
In the afternoon (and in the moring) I go with our dog for a walk. My mother works very hard and so I�m often alone in the afternoon. Then I�m cooking for me, but I can only cook easy thinks like noodles or something else. Sometimes I like it to spent time for my own. I read books, listen to music or chat with friends. When I meet my friends, we play games, go shopping, talk, laugh or do some other things. At the weekend we play billard, go in bars, go dancing or meet at a friend's house. A hobby of me is to play the transverse flut and I have once a week a music lesson. I think it�s great if you can play an instrument, but often I�m lazy to practis it. Besides I try to teach myself to play the guitar and sometimes I sing a little bit, but I can�t sing very well. Also I have a passion for dancing. I dance hip hop in a dancing schooI and I like it very much. It�s so much fun. A few weeks ago I had my first performance. I was so excited but it was great and I didn�t forget the choreography (that was my biggest fear) =)
In the summer I often go in a open air swimming pool. It�s a very big swimming pool and you always meet somebody you know. There are three volleyballfields and a big grassland where you can play football, frisbee...what ever you want.
In the winter we go snowboarden. Near by Freiburg is a mountain (Feldberg, it�s 1498 meters high) where we can go by train. In addition I like it to play with our dog, because he loves snow.
And I like Christmas, because I see my whole family. We alway celebrate at my grandma�s house. It�s a very nice atmosphare.
I would say that I�m more independent, because I learned early to organized and mind my own things. I'm a open person and like to get to know new people.
I have many reasons why I want to make a student exchange. I think you can make great experience and learn a lot about another culture and another country. It�s a big difference whether you make holidays or live in a country and I�m so happy that I�ll get the chance to live in New Zealand for half a year. I don�t know much about this country, but that�s a reason why I want to go to it and get to know the inhabitans, the culture, the landscape, the animals and so on. I�m looking forward to intergrate into a different way of family life. I�m so exciting and can't wait to come to New Zealand.
Now I would like to thank you for taking time to read this letter and I hope you'll host me and let me stay with your family in your house for half a year.

und hier nochmal mein brief...is irgendwie immer noch ned so toll, aber eigentlic sollt ich morgen fertig sein weil ich 2 wochen in urlaub fahr...

aber is voll der stress grad, weil coih die unterlagen erst vor 1 1/2 wochen bekommen habe...hab zwar 4wochen zeit, dass alles auszufüllen, aber ich fahr jetzt freitag für 2 wochen in urlaub und muss das vorher halt alles machen...(auch mit fotos usw.) und mein klassenlehrer hat sich ein bissel aufgeregt, dass er jetzt noch son bericht dings bums da^^ über mich schreiben muss...jetzt so kurz vor den ferien...naja...der soll sich mal ned so haben
